Earthquake Omens

A second major earthquake has hit Chile after the one that hit Haiti. Is this a sign of things to come? Living in California, earthquakes are always in the back of our minds. We've had our share of newsworthy shakers. There is always talk of people trying to find ways of foretelling when the next one will hit but nothing has come to fruition. I cant help but think of when and where the next land trauma will surface. I dont remember a time when 2 major quakes have hit in such quick succession.
