Travelogue Bangkok-Day 3 Yaowarat(Chinatown)

Been to a number of Chinatowns from several places domestically to Japan and Vancouver.  Trekked to Yaowarat fromHua Lamphong MRT station

A large map helped to direct me in the right direction as there are a number of roads converge and diverge from the same area.  The map also highlighted other sites, businesses, temples, and restaurants

For some reason, the sidewalks on parts of the thoroughfare were rather narrow.  Even more so when the shops extend their business outward

I decided to get off the main road and check the side streets

This is where most of the action was occurring.  The cars and traffic dominate Yaowarat Rd but the pedestrians and hawkers rule this area.  You can find almost everything if you look close enough or know where they are at

I did not go down every little side street or alleyway.  I walked along and gazed at the items on sale

Food vendors cannot be missed as they stake their business on their own little part of the pavement.  I reached the end of this street marked by the gate at the far end

Came back to Yaowarat Rd and proceeded to the next street up to see what was available up there.  It was much the same as the main road with traffic the dominating feature
