I took the long way around to get to Shimbashi via the northern end of the loop rather than heading back south or even cutting across.
The Gundam statue has been fully taken down in preperation for a newer one to replace it. It was nice to see the full sized RX 78, but it will be nice to see a new statue from a more recent or current series. The designs have become much more complex since RX 78. It would be quite a sight to see the winged Gundam in full spread
Around Diver City, a number of flowers are in bloom in addtion to the sakura. Many colors of tulip are plated around the grounds
Some cherry blossoms along the waterfront area
the weather turned for the better after lunch. The skies began to clear and the sun came out
I completed the loop back at Shinagawa. Dinner would be ramen at Keisuke. I hadnt realized there was a Menya Shono here. It borders Tetsu to one side and Keisuke borders Tetsu to the other
As usual, you cant go wrong with the top left choice. They've even indicated its their number 1 seller
Their claim is black miso. A sign describes the ingredients and process of how they all come together
I like this ramen. It makes up for the other miso ramen that I had. The soup doesnt have that little spiciness that usually find in most miso soups. It must be due to the charcoal which also adds a richness. The noodles were good and chewy. The slices of pork plus the minced porked in the soup made for meaty satisfaction.
Thats it for this trip. Tomorrow Ill probably grab some lunch in town before heading back to Haneda for a late afternoon flight. Like any other trip, the time seems to fly once the end of the trip beckons. Will I be back next year? Most likely not. I have made many trips and need to start exploring other areas. I will not say never, however. I am always willing to play trip planner and tour guide for friends.
