Travelogue Tokyo-Day 4 Ramen lunch and JR station signs

Got off at Ichigaya on the Chuo/sobu line that goes straight across the loop line from east to west.

A catch and release fishing pond when you just have to get some time on th eline but cant get out to an acutal waterway or body of water

Cross th the other side and make a left at the McDonalds to find a small chain of ramen shops

Menya Shono has a few locations in Tokyo and another one in San Frnacisco.  During Valentines, they are know for making a choclate ramen

They dont number the items on the menu and it does lot look like they put the best seller in the top left.  However, they do provide english and pictures.  I went with the Special

The staff moving to and fro while in unison to get the orders out

All the fresh ramen noodles within arms reach

Im not a big fan ot the Tokyo style ramen that uses alot of fish broth/flavors.  In this one, the fish flavors are so intense that I ended up liking it alot.  The flavors are almost as pronounced as you would find in a tsukemen dipping sauce.  They sell that here as well.  The noodles had good chew.  The slices of pork in the top right were great. Crunchy menma is found under said pork.  The only miss was the charred pork on the left.  I thought the black bean flavor was too strong

Finishing the soup revelad the dregs of the flavoring powder like the dregs of a cup of coffee

I noticed a few changes on the signs on the train network.  They have gone with the following:
Line 1-Station abbreviation
Line 2-Train line (J=JR K=Keihin, Y=Yamanote, B=Chuo/Sobu)
Line 3-Station number of the train line
Line 4-Romanization of the station name
Line 5-Station name in Kanji
Line 6-Station name in Hangul

This could have been done to help visitors during the upcoming Olympics to help them navigate the transportation system.   The maps on JR East website have been updated to reflect the changes.  Shinagawa is 25 and Tamachi is 27.  They are reserving 26 for a new station between the 2
