Travelogue-Seoul Day 3, Deoksu Palace

Today started off well enough. They changed the soup at breakfast to nice little egg drop soup. My legs were not feeling as fatigued from the day before. I did not visit any of the many palaces that lie withing the city boundaries. Today I go to Deoksu Palace near City Hall Station.

There are a few people milling about as I arrive. Its still another hour before the changing of the guard ceremony.

The guards are already in place at the front gate making themselves available for pictures. There are two types of customed men manning the gate. The guy in blue is like the head guard. The ones in red are like the red shirts in Star Trek, necessary but expendable. I will wait until after the ceremony before visiting the grounds. See video at bottom of post.  Admission is only 1000won.

There arent alot of building on the grounds.  Most are typical asian archetecture while there are 2 that are more european.  Since many of these buildings were only 1-story tall, it doesnt take much for the modern buildings of the City Hall area to dwarf them

Amongst some of the building were a throne room and meeting hall

Changing of the guard video.  The entire video actually lasted about 30 minutes and I broke them up into 3 parts.  However, this is only the beginning portion of the first video
