Japan 2011-Yakitori dinner

Tonight we went to dinner at a yakitori place around the corner from where we were staying. In the last few days, the radius of restaurants that we have eaten at has rarely gone past half a block fom the hotel. Sushi place a few doors down, chain curry place on the corner, breakfast at the hotel, etc. Curious that. We enjoyed all the dishes that we chose and had the cook choose a few reccomendations for us. These skewers of beef were excellent. My memory escapes me on what the meat on the right was. Tastey nonetheless.

I think this was cartilege and pork with little peppers. Im not big on the cartilege but the grilling really adds flavor to anotherwise flavorless and very crunchy part of the animal

The tongue was probably my least favorite due to the very chewy texture of the meat. The chicken butts werent too bad and we thought it might have been something else

This looks like bacon wrapped around cheese. The gooey melted cheese gets all over the inside of your mouth. The other skewers were probably pork?

This meaty selection on the beefy sticks are minced chicken with cartilege. Next to them were a few skewers of chicken skin.

Lastly, we have chicken breast with a ponzu and grated daikon topping. All in all, it was avery enjoyable range of items. They had many more varieties to choose from but our appetites were more than satisfied
