Travelogue London Westminster Night
A rare night-time sightseeing jaunt to a nearby spot. Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and the London Eye are within a few minutes walk from each other. Basically a large ferris wheel with enclosed capsules. Secured from the bad weather but a glasshouse nonetheless. The interior can get warm and a bit humid the one time I rode it
It makes a rotation about once every half hour. The slow pace and height makes a great platform for shots from on high. They have express tickets but patience will save you from having to pay the extra fare as the queues lengthen and shorten throughout the day
Iconic Big Ben. The name is for the bell inside the clock tower and not the clock tower itself. Big Ben goes off every hour on the hour. Also goes off on the half hour too
At the base of the enormous timepiece, the Houses of Parliament
Is it past 21:30 already?!?! Although there is and 8 hour difference between here and home, it feels like its way past midnight when you add in jet lag, at least for me
On the Westminster Bridge, looking easterly. Just ot the right is the London Eye. River cruises and water taxis ply the Thames river day and night. It cuts the city in two like many other cities: Paris, Seoul, Dublin, etc
I will leave it up to you to find out what this structure is. Im too lazy to do it and this makes nthis a bit more interactive
Looking westerly, the Houses of Parliament photobombed my shot!! I was trying to look down the river and it jumped right into my shot.
