On The Job-Carlotta's Fountain

I may have mentioned this before in a previous post. But, this is Carlotta's Fountain, located at the intersection of 3rd St, Market St, Geary St, and Kearny St.

This became the focal point of the Great Earthquake of 1906. It became a meeting point as it was one of the remaining sources of water still functioning.
It remains a gather point as people gather on the exact date and time the quake struck. Looking down Market St towards the bay
The number of survivors dwindles each year. The last remaining survivors were barely born as the tragedy unfolded. I doubt they were even aware of what was going on at such a young age
I dont recall what the original was but it was painted gold several years ago
