Travelogue Japan Day 1 Bus Tour to Shizuoka Part 2

A glimpse at Suruga Bay.  This will be very short.  A short cruise indeed at 20 minutes

After disembarking from the bus, we had to go through the gift shop in order to cross the street.  The tickets were previously procured.  Like we couldnt cross ourselves to the awaiting vessel

All these birds were quitly sitting by the beach.  As soon as we left the dock, there was a mad rush for them to cathc up to us.  They know they wont be fed by the tourists sitting by the beach

Basically, we went around this small island in the middle of the bay.  Im assuming from the buildings tht this must be a summer tourist spot

They are relelntless but they did delight many of those on board who fed them and those who just enoyed watching the whle thing.  There are a couple of pens in the by the are probably used for aqua farming but Im unsure of the nature

Before going to the greenhouse, we went to...  Technically it wa a farmstand and gift shop.  ou can buy the fresh berries or you cn opt to partake for 30 minutes.  No berries are to leave the confies of the plastic!

A peek inside.  Unlike the elevated beds of last year's farm, some deep knee bends are required to get to the fruit.  To be orderly, the three right rows are for advancing and the left two are for returning

These are not the variety as grown at the other place so these are quite a bit smaller.  The flesh is much more delicate.  These two accused me of rape for touching them!!  A nice strawberry flavor as they begin to dissolve in your mouth with no hint of tartness

You are given a tray for waste as well as some sweetened condensed milk to dip in.  After one berry, I thought it was an affront to bastardize the sweet fresh flavor with any "enhancements"

Making my way down the line.  Pict(ure), pick, eat and repeat

Ived laid wasted to a number of them already.  Unfortunately, all the food from breakfast and lunch held me back from what I could've really achieved

In the end, I went through 52 of them.  I believe I went through that many last year but the volue cannot be compared

Lastly, we stopped of at Mishima Taisha shrine in Mishima.  The rain had begun and continued through the rest of the day

Our english speaking guide helping two thers fom the tour at the entrance to the grounds

A quic \k visit so I didnt catch this guys name

An altar to shake your bell at and for prayers

There is some kind of history behind this hundred year old lovie tree.  The guide said it still bears fruit

Some artists and craftsmen selling their wares.  Either they didnt check the weather or they were willing to brave the elements.  Either way, it didnt look like it was paing off
