After a day out, time to head to my accommodations, take a look around, slumber then head home in the morning. Walking along the border between 2 states. The left side where gambling is legal and the right side where its technically not legal. The mountains rising in the distance make up parts of Heavenly ski resort
I cant remember the last time I was in the area, but I dont believe Heavenly village was fully developed at the time. Since then it is now a fully fledged resort with dining, retail, entertainment, and access to sports
Right on Lake Tahoe Boulevard and very close to the stateline casinos
Underneath houses the boarding area for the gondolas
There are gondolas that took skiers from the parking lot at the end of Ski Run blvd to the bowl atop the mountains. I have never ridden these gondolas so I dont know if they connect directly or if you have to transfer
Like any highrise mode of transportation, it affords great views of the southern area at the lower side and views of the lake at higher altitudes
The highest point of the resort with additional runs on the opposite side
Many feel much more secure in these cabins rather than having their feet dangling in open air
A downsized mini gold course in the adjacent area to the gondolas. Some whimsical statues adorn the many holes. Yes, Sasquatch was a Blues Brother. Check the movie where the car is chased through the forest... j/k
I came back after dinner around 9pm. It seemed barren since many of the shops had been closed by now. But, many of the restaurants and eateries were still open. The accent lights were nice but more light would have helped
The icicle lights added to the ambiance of the star in the open area of the course. Much more were playing then there were in the afternoon. Lots of family fun under the stars
Its a nice walk to get away from the claustraphobia of the casinos and an overall nice addition to the area
The idle cars slumbering the barn before being employed the next morning
The next morning I had to stop off for a leisurely breakfast before the drive home. This establishment has been around for such a long time but this will be the first time for step foot into it
They are open for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast menu is quite extensive and should fit the bill from simple to ample appetites.
I glanced at the lunch menu on the back but dont remember much since I was focusing on the first meal of the day and not the next. I did see a few sandwiches and salads
Although I was eyeing the omelettes, I thought 4 eggs would be too heavy an option
Drawn to the meal lover's skillet which is accompanied by the blueberry option as oppossed to other baked goods. Add on the morning joe and the ensemble is complete
I choose over easy eggs to top the meat, cheese, and potatoes. Ground beef, ham, bacon, sausage make up the substantive mound. The nice yolks ooze over the meats once you break them.
