I happen to be by the area known as The Marina. The northern portion is lined by a long open field known as Marina Green with a marina at one end and Fort Mason on the other. Many high-priced homes that border the Marina Green offer million dollar views of the bay.

The former military base has been rehabbed into a multi-use area containing businesses and shops. The area has been opened up to hikers, bikers, and nature. Here the GG Bridge is back set to a reclaimed area of land set aside as a nature preserve
