Pluot?!?!?!

Who's bright idea was it to call the hybrid of a plum and apricot a pluot? Sure, it was either that or applum! Don't get me wrong. I like the fruit but it makes me think of vomit when I hear plu-otttttttt. Couldn't they have come up with something better? Eden's treasure, heart fruit, purple essence. I think any of these would be an imporvement. I think some people just aren't trying.
